Today, the technical department of Dongguan Huahang Xinma Metal Co., Ltd. provided training to new employees on the key points of machine tool machining accuracy, as follows:

Mechanical processing accuracy mainly includes dimensional tolerance, shape tolerance, positional tolerance, and surface smoothness, with commonly used accuracy levels of 2.5 and 1.5. ​

In terms of machining accuracy, the new equipment can achieve a dimensional accuracy of 0.01mm (1 thread), while the factory dimensional accuracy is usually 0.02mm, and the roughness can reach 1.6. The specific form and position tolerances are: outer roundness of 0.01/100, end face flatness of 0.02/200, and thread pitch accuracy of 0.06/300. It should be noted that the theoretical accuracy of all milling machines is similar, and whether they can actually meet the standard depends crucially on the level of the operator. Similar to ordinary lathes, the minimum scale of the lathe box is 0.02mm, and the factory accuracy is 0.02mm

CNC machine tools are divided into three categories: ordinary, precision, and ultra precision. Ultra precision CNC accuracy can reach 0.0001mm. Generally, the CNC accuracy is higher than that of regular lathes, but not absolute. For example, when the outer circle tolerance is 0.01-0.02mm and the smoothness is 1.6-3.2, regular lathes, CNC lathes, milling machines, and machining centers can all be competent; If the smoothness needs to be above 0.8, or if there are high requirements for geometric tolerances such as coaxiality and perpendicularity, a grinder should be selected. When the dimensional tolerance is 0.01-0.05mm, multiple machine tools can be selected, but if strict dimensional tolerance requirements are added, special equipment such as grinding machines also need to be considered.
